My next door neighbor and friend for over 22 years. Stuff happens to any of us but this really stunk. A simple bicycle accident and "game over" thing. Forgive me for posting lousy news but the papers expire and this can be searched out for as long as the site is active.

William A. Healey (publicly posted by MetroWest Daily News) MARLBOROUGH William A. Healey, 67, of Marlborough, MA died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Cape Cod Hospital, from injuries received in a bicycling accident. A Marlborough resident since 1984, Mr. Healey retired from the IBM Corporation, where he had been employed for 32 years in various sections of the country, including St. Louis, Dallas and the Boston area. Born in Newark, N.J., he was the son of the late Bernard and Lottie (Kowalski) Healey and the husband of Leslie (Perez) Healey. Mr. Healey was a graduate of New Providence High School, N.J., Class of 1960, earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Parsons College, Iowa, and later a master of science degree from Southern Illinois University. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Brian Healey of Marlborough, and Robert Healey and his wife, Lauren, and their son, Charlie Healey, of Matawan, N.J.; and his brother, Jack Healey of Pt. Pleasant, N.J. He was also the father of the late Christine Healey and the brother of the late Robert Healey. Visiting hours are Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m., followed immediately by a memorial service at the Slattery Funeral Home Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. The Rev. Linda Stetter will officiate. Burial will be held in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
