Varible orfice tube placement

I am retrofitting my 1990 mustang. I was loooking at varible orfice tubes online. One place when I plugged the make and model of my car in said "evaporator mounted" when I clicked on the varible orface tube. (It did not say this when I clicked on the regular orfice tube).

My tube is inside the liguid line. It is rusted and I was thinking about cutting the rusted sections out and soldering new line. If I did this I could remove the current orfice tube.

But, does this mean if I purchased a VO that it coudl go inside the liquid side of the evaporator instead?
